Alex "Ovi" Ovechkin is widely recognized as one of the greatest goal scorers ever. He is second to only Wayne Gretzky in all-time scoring, and holds the most power play goals, away game goals, and most goals with the same team in NHL history. In his 2015-16 campaign with the Washington Capitals, Ovechkin broke the record for most goals scored by a Russian hockey player. That same season, he also became the first Russian to score 500 career goals, and recorded his seventh 50-goal season. Ovechkin holds several trophies, including the Calder Memorial Trophy, Hart Memorial Trophy (3x), the Lester B. Pearson Award (3x), and Conn Smythe Trophy.
